So far the song that I'm responding to the most strongly is "That's Why
I Have No Name," which feels like a new high water mark for songwriting
from MK.
Of the Keneally/Partridge songs, both authors are to be congratulated
for having achieved a very rare synthesis of musical spirit. (In the
spirit of the times for creating cute combo nicknames, perhaps we
should call them Kartridge songs.) In terms of the vocal phrasing and
melody of those songs, there are moments where it sounds like Andy
Partridge's mind has possessed Mike's body. It's uncanny.
