Hi!

I got to see Dethklok a couple of nights ago. Again. This time around, I have to mention, the visuals are much improved (stage lighting! You can see the band! A better screen! You can better see the animation!) and the setlist includes new songs, and the band is as tight and outrageously fun to see as always, only more so.

The improved stage lighting certainly makes the encore feel like a more integral part of the show. Overall, fun was had by all, even the two guys (strangers, I gather) in and near the mosh pit who had a short altercation but ended up making up and hugging. Dethklok brings peace to a troubled world, and it's fun!

You have shamed me - I never got around to posting after I saw Dethklok
in the Pete Griffin era. Awesome show. The crowd surfers were being
passed up to the security guys, who lowered them into a sort of buffer
zone, where they could walk out on the side and rejoin the pit. During
Machine Head, the biggest guy I'd seen surfing that night (not me big,
but bigger than the other surfers) was being passed forward. The
security guard was waiting, arms outstretched. They didn't pass him
forward.

They heaved him from about six feet away. The security guy's eyes
bulged out in a cartoony fashion and they both disappeared from view.
After the show, I walked up there and there were no bodies, so I presume
they were both well.

Dethklok was fabulous. Nice to see the band better lit. Loved the
videos, as usual. They hit just about all the songs I would have really
wanted them to hit - I was really kind of stunned that "Murmaider" got a
great response. I had no idea anyone around here liked it.

Got to see and have a nice relaxed hang w/Mike after the show. Spent
all my souvenir money as well - picked up the deluxe version of the
first album and the vinyl for the new one (which the guys hadn't seen).

There's no shame in never getting around to doing things. If I ever got around to making a list of all the things I never get around to do, it'd be quite extensive, I'd assure you - if I could get around to it, that is.
