Sitting 2nd row /center for for 2 of a Perfect trio last night in Toronto, I
got a thumbs up and "Hey, Mike Keneally - Cool! from Pat Mastellotto during
the traditional end show bows. Why you ask? Well I'm pretty sure it's
because of my brown Mike Kenealy band t-shirt recently purchased from your
freindly neighborhood Moosemart music fashion outlet.

Tony Levin has posted his usual crowd photos already-evidence of my brown
T-shirt wearing self can be found here

It seems that Toronto has been kind of a dead zone for prog-rock of
the non-local variety for as long as I've lived here. Marillion played
one and a half shows here over the last fifteen years, The Flower
Kings never played here, Spock's Beard play everywhere *except* here.
So I, too, have gotten into the habit of taking way too much time off
work and going to ridiculously out-of-the-way places when there's a
band I need to see...

Hey, Mike, if you're reading this, I know a guy who runs a bar in
downtown Toronto that holds 110 people and has a fairly kickass PA
system where you can play on a weeknight without paying a booking fee
or handing over a cut of the door. Just throwin' that out there.

What did you think of The Aristocrats? Suprisingly small crowd--that's
probably why noone ever comes here. Anyway, what a treat to see these world
class musicians in such an intimate setting.
Just one question--When did Ian Anderson learn to play guitar like THAT?

The last time I saw Ian Anderson, he didn't have much in the way of
head-plumage. I think you have him confused with someone else.

Anderson-even sounds just like him/accent and all--we were expecting a flute

It was an awesome evening, to be sure. Marco pretty much stole the
show. Apparently the reason the Friday show was so empty was because
everyone went to the Thursday show in Richmond Hill.

Did you have to leave before the autograph session?

I wanted to go to the Toronto show, but real life (and a five-hour drive) made it not so possible.

I do need to catch them - two near-ish misses this time.
